What is a Doula?:

The word "doula" is ancient Greek meaning "A woman who serves" which today refers to professionals specially trained to give informational, emotional and physical support to women during childbirth. A doula does not perform a medial task, but provides uninterrupted support to mother in labor, during her birth and through the immediate postpartum period.
